Invicta I

£85.00

Spalted flamed sycamore bowl.

Part of a capsule collection entitled 'Invicta' after the eponymous street in Greenwich, London where I picked up the wood.
The unusual marking on the inside of the vessel was born of the alchemy of wood and small steel inserts (probably old screws) present in the log.

The spalting colouration and patterns occur thanks to a fungi found mainly in dead wood creating the most intricate and unique markings.
