Spalted London plane vessel I

Rustic spalted London plane vessel turned from a locally salvaged stump.

The spalting colouration and patterns occur thanks to a fungi found mainly in dead wood creating the most intricate and unique markings. Also, the decay in the log I turned was well advanced which led to a rustic imperfect finish.
Sealed with food safe natural beeswax and organic coconut oil salve.
One-off piece.
Suitable to display dry goods such as nuts, fruit...
Dust with a dry cloth.
